Engineered Hardwood
Engineered hardwood is a wood flooring product made up of plywood or HDF at its core with a finishing hardwood veneer layer on top to provide the finish. It is known for its stability and strength and is often cheaper the solid wood, it should not be confused with laminate, it differs from laminate in that it has a solid wood veneer.
Solid Wood
Solid wood, like the name suggests is made from solid wood planks, it’s often more expensive to buy then engineered wood and can also be more difficult to fit. Despite this it is known to offer a luxurious finish, will last longer, and can also be sanded down and re furbished if required.
